Ferris State – Bantam A

A short highlight reel from the weekend at Ferris State’s 3 on 3.
This time around, Mike was ‘playing up’ 2 levels. This last season, he was a PeeWee B goalie. For this tournament he played Bantam A teams.
They were very skilled and Mikey did a great job of stepping up.
A few stats:
He faced 175 shots during the 3 day event.
He was the only goalie with a shutout.
He was 1 goal from winning the shootout competition for the 4th year in a row.

Great job Mike!

Ferris State 3 on 3 Shootout Clips

A short video of Mikey and his teammate Nate participating in the Shootout skills competition.
Mike ended up tied for 1st in the Goaltending skill, eventually losing in the sudden death round by a single goal. Nate (the skater in the white Hawks jersey) went on to win the shooter competition.

Hockey Cares Tournament

These are the images from our Hockey Cares Tournament in Kalamazoo. You’ll have to excuse the last 30 that appear washed out. The rink heater units were broken and there was a fog on the rink. I tried to compensate in post-processing but there’s not a lot to work with when the kids are surrounded by an ice cloud.
The photo gallery has all games from the weekend.

This was a great tournament and a perfect way to wrap up an awesome season!
